Pilot's Handling Notes for I-ASTI a Savoia Marchetti S.73 with Wright Cyclone F52 engines
******************************************************************************************
The three Wright Cyclone F52 engines have automated mixture controls, and manually applied carb heat controls. They are supercharged to give rated power up to 1750 metres.
CAUTION - Each engine can briefly deliver 875hp for take off, or go around, below 1200 metres, provided military grade leaded 87 Octane AVGAS has been loaded within the applicable TOGA tank for each engine.
CAUTION - In the event that a take off or go around must be conducted using 76 octane airline grade fuel, power applied must not exceed Rated power.
RESTRAIN - RPM < 2000 at all times
AUTOMIXTURE - This engine has Automixture in real life. Turn automixture ON in the FS9 realism screen before flight.
This aircraft is loaded by default with 4480lbs of AVGAS to allow operation over the real route flown by this aircraft. YOU must choose which grade of AVGAS to simulate during each take off.
Crew and passengers have oxygen masks permitting design cruise at 4000 metres. At low weights cruising at 5000 metres will be more appropriate.
