ABOUT THE SCENERY:

Walla Walla was a fun airport to do. I was attracted by the design of the terminal (In real life). Though I could be certain where the real terminal was located, I placed it where I thought it would most logically fit. There are so few photos on the web nowadays. Probably because of 9/11. Anyway, another item about Walla Walla is the fact that only one airline seems to be serving the facility, Horizon Air. So here it is Walla Walla Regional and Horizon Air. Below are the site you can download the aircraft I used for this scenery. Also, you will need Traffic Tools v2 and AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy as well as ASDV2.1, Nova and Nova Gold textures. Happy flying!

THE AIRCRAFT:

The start-up aircraft and the aircraft I used for the flight plans are the same. download the aircraft from http://fokker.avsim.net/downloads.htm
Download the PF Fokker-70 TAY-620 and from SurClaro, download f70horiz.zip for the horizon livery. The other aircraft I used for the flight plans are the de Havilland dash 8-Q400 in the Horizon livery (dhc8_hor.zip at SurClaro) and the Cessna Citation X (ctnx04.zip also at SurClaro).

AC# Aircraft Livery Zip
AC#152 DeHavilland Dash8-Q400 Horizon dhc8_hor.zip
AC#157 Fokker F-70 Horizon See above paragraph
AC#128 Cessna Citation X ------- ctnx04.zip

Remember, your AC#'s may be different from mine once you've installed your aircraft into the Aircraft file in Traffic Tools.

The rest of the aircraft in the flight plans are default aircraft.

INSTALLATION:

Hopefully I've made this step by step installation guide user friendly. If there is any part you don't understand, fell free to email me and I will try to assist you the best I can.

Again, I hope you have unzipped the kalw_v1 zip file to a temporary folder and are reading this readme file now.

Step 1. Set your unzip utility to use/create folders, then unzip the kalw_scen.zip file to the drive where your FS2004 is located.
Results of step 1: A folder named fs2k4_scenery\kalw\scenery should be created on your drive. In the scenery sub-folder should be the *.bgl files. Also, the start-up files WA - Walla Walla Regional....FLT and WA - Walla Walla Regional....WX Should be in the My Documents\Flight Simulator Files folder and the AF2_KALW.bgl file should be in the Addon Scenery\scenery folder of FS2004 (or however you named the folder where your flight simulator is located.)
Step 2. Open the KALWFLTPLN.txt file and copy the contents to the flightplansxxxxxx file in Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools v2 (If you don't have traffic tools, you can download it from SurClaro) Download all necessary aircraft and install them into FS. Now add them to the Aircraftxxxxxx file in traffic tools as per the Readme file of TTools. Don't forget to change the AC#'s in the flightplans file for kpdx to coincide with the AC#'s in YOUR traffic tools Aircraft file.
Step 3. Download and install Lee Swordy's AFCAD v2.11. Open AFCAD and enter the Tools menu and select the Aircraft Editor. There, for each aircraft used in the scenery, designate the livery. If the livery is not available, designate the type of parking. For example Cargo, or C or Mil_cargo or MR etc. This will help assign the aircraft to the proper parking space.
Step 4. Start FS and select settings, then Scenery Library. Now select Add Area and install the scenery in the usual manner. Now shut down FS.
Step 5. Re-start FS and this time select Select a Flight. Look under My Saved Flights and find WA - Walla Walla Regional Airport and highlight it and click OK.
Step 6. Have a happy and safe flight.

I hope I didn't leave anything out. You can email me at the address below for comments/questions. I will try to answer as soon as possible and as many as possible.
