Hello! And thank you for downloading EFHK_2002_v2.0

This is my second version of Helsinki-Vantaa airport and
it replaces the first version completely. I started this
scenery from scratch, although this scenery uses some
same objects as the first scenery I published.
EFHK_2002 scenery is intended as an add-on for the default scenery
in FS2002.

FEATURES & improvements.

-Accurate taxiway signs (over 160 of them).
-Static scenery like aircraft and service vehicles. (some have finnair textures)
-Accurate gates and Yellow taxiwaylines instead of the white ones I had in my first version.
-Extra scenery that will include several add-on static objects(planes&service vehicles),
some signs and gates for airports in Oulu (EFOU), Rovaniemi (EFRO), Kuopio (EFKU),
Joensuu (EFJO) and Kajaani (EFKI)
-Modified AI airtraffic to support EFHK_2002.

INSTALLATION

Unzip this file to your FS2002 scenery directory.
(Usually C:\program files\...\FS2002\scenery)

IMPORTANT! Now go to the directory where you just extracted the scenery and copy or
transfer the file eurnwafd.bgl to c:\...FS2002\SCENEDB\AFDFILES\SCENERY
when asked "Replace?" answer yes.
-This chainge doesnt effect on any other airports but EFHK, but ofcourse
you can backup copy your original eurnwafd.bgl file.

Launch FS2002.
go to menu and take World -> scenery library -> add area
from directory menu navigate to EFHK_2002 and activate it.

*** If you wish to try or use the extra scenery I made for Oulu (EFOU), Rovaniemi (EFRO), Kuopio (EFKU),
Joensuu (EFJO) and Kajaani (EFKI) extract the ZIP file "extra" to main scenery folder as shown above and
follow the same instructions. These scenery files include static objects, taxiwaylines and some gates in EFRO.

*** Some of you may use Hannu Hyytiainen´s scenery FINSIGN2.ZIP, and for those users you should remove
the file EFHKsign2.bgl from the directory where you have installed Hannu´s scenery.
OR
you may remove my signs from my scenery by deleting the file EFHK_v2 from the scenery directory of
EFHK_2002 and thus use Hannu´s signs. (though I have not tested this, I see no reason why It shouldnt work)

SCENERY DETAIL LEVELS.
Go to menu and choose OPTIONS -> Settings -> Display
and take the bar "scenery complexity"

When you set the detail level to "normal" you see all signs and gates on the terminal.
detail level "dense" you see static aircrafts and service vehicles on domestic and international terminals.
detail level "very dense" will bring all static aircrafts (some on cargo apron) and service vehicles.

ABOUT THE SCENERY AND RELATED STUFF.

- This scenery doesnt include the new runway for Helsinki Vantaa which will be in use for the first time
on 28th of october this year. If someone wants to make an add on for this scenery, I have no objections.
I hope this scenery will be absolete soon, because the Finnish Scenery Designers team is making an excellent
scenery of Helsinki Vantaa airport. Visit their website http://fisd.fsnordic.net/ for more details.
I thought this scenery will keep us who are waiting occupied so long as they complete their splended work.
I will not be making sceneries for the time being, since I have to concentrate on my studies and other things.

Recommended websites for those interested flying in Finland with FS2002:

http://www.fsnordic.net/ general and very good flightsim sight.
http://vacc-fin.net/ you can find Finnish aviation charts here.
And the previously mentioned finnish scenery designers page.

THANKS.

- Specially for those macro makers in the freeware community, www.taxiwaysigns.com and all of the FREEWARE community.
