London Heathrow Airport - EGLL VERSION 2!!!!!!!!!!!

This is for those of you who find the default FS2000 scenery uninteresting and are left with the alternative of either paying for shareware scenery or commercial products.

This is version 2 of my EGLL scenery. It has alot of room for improvements for example the buildings are a little too plain and uninteresting compared with some but it does create gates to Terminal 3. There will be further versions, making up the current 4 terminals. This version also only creates correct sighting of taxi-ways to the southern runway. The northern runway taxi ways are incomplete.

Heathrow is apparently the worlds busiest airport with over 380,000 flights every year. It has the longest runways in mainland Britain and 4 Terminals together with plans for a fifth.

It has been created using Derek Leung's great freeware FS Scenery Creator available from www.geocities.com/dleung8/fssc.

Enclosed are bgl files contained within the scenery.zip file. They are the only files needed.

ILS/VOR freq's are as the default scenery.

To try to improve frame rates, I have defined the Taxi lines as Very Dense scenery and the Gates for Terminal as Dense scenery.

The next improvements will be with Terminal 4, but unfortunately, my virtual flying and associated matters are taking a back seat to other commitments I currently have, so it may be a little time.

Installation
------------

I have created a folder within the Scenery folder of FS2000, called UK (all my UK scenery goes in this one). Then within 'UK' is another folder called Heathrow. Within 'Heathrow' is a further folder called Scenery and another called Texture. The BGL files go inside the Heathrow\scenery folder. Eventually, there will be textures to go inside the Heathrow\texture folder.

You then 'add' the scenery via the World menu within FS2000.

Make sure this scenery is above the default scenery within the scenery manager, ie it has a lower number, if that makes sense.
