Turn on Word Wrap !! Go to Full Screen !! *** This Panel Is For FS2000 STANDARD OR PRO EDITION *** ***************************************** ================================================ BOEING 737 CAPTAIN, FIRST OFFICER and VFR PANELS.
=================================================
Tested and flown in 1024 x 768 by Eric W Davis, on a p3 500 with 640 mg ram and a 32mb Nvidia Riva TNT2 card. --------------------------------------------------
TO INSTALL THE PANEL
--------------------
Unzip the file to a temp folder. Then unzip the gauge file and copy the gauges to your main gauge folder under FS2000, thus:- FS2000\Gauges. Then unzip the sound file to FS2000\Sounds. You can then delete both zips, and copy the remaining files to the panel folder of the aircraft where you want to use the panel. Or you can be clever and read "To Set Up The Panel".

TO SET UP THE PANEL
-------------------
For a panel you intend to use in different aircraft it is best to set it up as follows.
In windows explorer; click on FS2000, then click on aircraft, scroll down till you find Fsfsconv, click on this, then click on File, select New on the menu, and create new folder. Rename this folder to panel.Trio. Do nothing further at this time. Open up the zip file which contains this panel in Winzip or similar. Select all files, then extract to a temp file. Next unzip gauges.zip to your main gauges folder in FS2000, sound.zip to your main sound folder. Then delete both these zips from your temp folder. Then click on Edit\and Select All, then Edit\and Cut. Then go to Fsfsconv and select panel.Trio. Next
click on Edit and Paste. The new panel files should now be in Fsfsconv\panel.Trio.
Select your Boeing 737, click on panel, then on panel.cfg to open it. You will see:-
[fltsim]
,alias=b737_400\panel ** Put a comma at the start of this line, (as shown), then type:-
alias=fsfsconv\panel.Trio. Save the file and exit. The 737 will now contain the new panel.
When you do this you only install the panel (or sound) once, but can use it in all the aircraft that have been aliased to it.

BOEING FEMALE VOICE ALTITUDE CALLOUT by Aaron Swindle
-----------------------------------------------------
I contacted Aaron about this file which I could no longer find at FlightSim. He suggested that I include it in this panel.
To install; unzip to a temp folder, then copy only the sound files to the FS2000\Sounds. Be aware they will overwrite your existing "Boeing" call out sounds, so back them up first.

HOW TO USE THIS PANEL [ Shift key plus number key; NOT numpad key ]
---------------------
Shift/1 toggles the VFR panel. S/2 toggles the Captain's panel. S/3 toggles the First Officer's panel.
S/4 toggles the GPS panel. S/5 toggles the Capt. yoke. S/6 toggles the Pushback panel.
S/7 toggles the Wiper. S/8 toggles the FO yoke. S/9 toggles the Fuel panel.

When loading the panel boots into the VFR panel view. [Don't throw my cat away.] The pushback and wiper panels will be visible. On the radio computer you will see two buttons marked 1 and 2. Click on 1 for the left seat, and 2 for the First Officer's panel. Now for the hard part!! To change from either main panel, move the mouse to the bottom RH corner of the screen, where it will change into a hand after finding the hot switch, and click zee mouse. This takes you back to the VFR panel. See! I said it takes 2 clicks to change panels. And I hope you noticed that when changing from any panel to another, you did NOT have to adjust your view, because it does not alter.

There are 5 toggles on each main panel, and 4 on the VFR panel. No yoke toggle here. The toggle which looks like a wiper, toggles the wiper. The one like a green dot in a copper circle is the pushback. The yokes are next and they are different. The one like a green/blue drop of fuel, toggles the fuel panel, and we all know what a GPS toggle looks like, don't we?

It is possible to have 2 panels, 2 yokes, pushback, gps, wiper and fuel panels all up together. Possible but silly. Use the shift/# key to turn off one panel and one yoke.

ON THE SUBJECT OF YOKES
-----------------------
They appear to be a frame rate eater. I gain about 10 fps by turning the yoke off. The other panels don't seem to make any difference. This is a large panel, which may be the reason.

THE OVERHEAD PANEL
------------------
I have totally redesigned this and installed mouse switches. Locate the parking brake switch!

THE FUEL PANEL
--------------
Contains 3 fuel gauges, 2 ignition and 2 generator switches. Turn off one ignition switch and listen to the engine spool down. Sounds good even with the default sound. Turn the switch back on and the engine will restart after the fan speed builds up. The engines can be started with the ignition switches or by clicking auto start on the overhead panel. Use
these features to drop an engine on take off or landing.

THE WINDSCREEN WIPER
--------------------
I received no reply to my email to Andreas Jaros, asking for a mirror reversed wiper for the FO panel. In the event you are the winners as you get the fuel panel instead of a second wiper.
The wiper can be turned to slow speed, fast speed and off, only from the FO panel. To use it in the Captain's panel, first turn it on and change panels. Then to turn it off or on, just toggle the wiper icon.

THE PANEL CONFIG FILE - CHANGES YOU CAN MAKE!!
----------------------------------------------
If you decide not to use the yokes, but would like the bank angle gauge on either main panel, you can change the panel config file. On the Captain's panel remove the comma at gauge 69, on the FO panel remove the comma at gauge 65, save file and exit.
To disable the Trim sound, put a comma at the start of gauge 34 on the VFR panel, save file and exit.

HOW THIS PANEL EVOLVED AS I KNOW IT
-----------------------------------
The original bitmap was done by Vanessa Leightower.
I found the one used by Medi D Handoeran in his p737mx2.zip. His idea of using the computers for the radio and other gauges,
created a lot of space for the main gauges.
I have altered the main panel, making it longer and filling in nearly all of the excellent shading done by Medi, as well as making the surround for the backup attitude gauge. The fuel gauges, mach gauge and computers are all that is left from his panel. I have totally reworked the overhead panel, and made the FO and VFR panels, redone the yoke so it looks more like the real ones in the photo.
I have repainted the combination gauge, made 3 bitmaps for the panel toggles, and altered the other 3.

AIRCRAFT I HAVE TESTED WITH THIS PANEL
--------------------------------------
1] 737-700 Scandinavian Air 16-04-01 b737sas.zip by Mauricio Vascoti.
2] 737-800 Delta Air 22-05-01 sd737810.zip by Mike Stone.
3] 737-490 Alaska Air 13-07-01 apcas734.zip by Sandro Bernardini
4] 737-300 Garuda Air 10-09-01 733gwa.zip by Mauricio Vascoti.
5] 737-800 US Midwest 20-03-01 usmw738.zip by Sandro Bernardini.
6] 737-200 America West 18-08-01 aw73s21.zip by Kevin Trinkle.

The first two, with full tanks and 5 notches of flaps, lift off no hands at 157 knots - brilliant.

FAULTS YOU MAY THINK EXIST - BUT DO NOT
---------------------------------------
1] No fuel gauges on the FO panel. See real photograph.
2] The center fuel tank gauge does not register.
3] The center fuel tank gauge only reads half full.
In the sim go to Aircraft\Fuel, and check on the tank capacities for your aircraft.
4] No overhead panel visible in the VFR panel. Correct! Why would you want one?

GAUGES
------
I have checked the gauge properties and renamed all gauges to what appear to be their correct names.
Trio gauges are either:- Freeware; from M/S 98; or altered by me.
To prevent it being over written, I have had to rename the RKG buttons gauge as it now contains 6 of my bitmaps. For this panel only it is now known as Trio_buttons_gauge.
