ANTS AUSSIE AIRPORTS 11 WATTS BRIDGE

Scenery for FSX SP2 with FTX (probably not DX10 compatible).
Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield is about 70km north west of Brisbane near Toogoolawah in Queensland, Australia.
The airfield has three grass runways. 12/30 is the main runway, north of this is a parallel runway mainly used by gliders and gyrocopters. 03/21 is the cross runway.
The original infrastructure was built in 1942 as part of the Australian WWII defence program. At the end of the war the buildings were removed and the land returned to farming.
In the early 1980's a group of recreational pilots set about reclaiming the runways and taxiways and the airfield was recognised as having significant historical importance and was renamed as "Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield".
Watts Bridge has plenty of room for development with a range of services and amenities available with the main focus being on open and affordable recreational aviation. As well as private and commercial hangars there are air chalets which allow for private hangers with attached dwellings. Aviation fuel is available on-field.

This scenery contains about 20 sq km of photoreal ground textures for the airport and surrounds. Within the photoreal area are two small private airstrips about 2km west of Watts Bridge (just follow the dirt heading SW from the airfield and the first one will be on your right. The second strip is just west of the first. Extreme caution must be taken when landing at both strips due to power lines.
South of the airfield there are markings for an aerobatic box.
The airfield buildings have all been modelled based on photos of the airport kindly supplied by Patrick and I would like to thank Patrick for sending me the pics.
INSTALLATION:
1. Unzip the download
2. Move the folder "Ants Aussie Airports Watts Bridge" into the "FSX/Addon Scenery" folder.
3. Start FSX
4. Add "Ants Aussie Airports Watts Bridge" to the Scenery Library making sure it is above any FTX and/or OZx entries
5. Select Watts Bridge or YWSG from the airport/ICAO list and go flying
It is NOT recommended that you merge the scenery folders with any other scenery. This scenery contains vector road texture files and if merged with other scenery files this may cause other roads to appear differently. As long as the files are installed as detailed above then there should be no affect on any other scenery you have installed. This scenery does not overwrite any default FSX files.
There are drainage ditches alongside the runway therefore care should be taken to exit the runway at the marked areas.
It is recommended that you turn scenery shadows off as well as shadows are included in the photoreal texture.
To see all the visual objects you will need the following installed:
FTX Australia (ground textures and rural sheds)
OZx libraries (caravans) (www.aussiex.org)
Ants Aussie Airports Boonah (cars) (www.antsairplanes.com)
To get the best visual results it is recommended you have FTX, Holger Terrain Mesh (available from FTX freeware) and your terrain mesh settings at 2m or better (this will show the drainage ditches between the runway and hangars).
