The DeHavilland DHC-7 (Dash-7) is one of my all time favourite aircraft, having flown in one when City Express was operating in Ontario. The Canadian Armed Forces used a military derivative, the CC-132, based in Europe during the 1980's. Although this aircraft did not serve in the latest colours now worn by CAF Transport aircraft, I thought it might make for an interesting repaint, as a tribute to an underrated aircraft. The enclosed traffic file ("Traffic_CC132.bgl") may be added in FS Scenery folder>World>Scenery if using as an AI aircraft.

Many thanks to Dee Waldron for the AI Dash-7 model, available here:

Install the aircraft as directed, then copy & paste the folder named "Texture.CAF_132002" into the aircraft's main folder.

Next, open the aircraft.cfg (use MS Notepad) and copy & paste the following lines as the next consecutive entry, e.g., where "fltsim.xx" uses the next available number:

[fltsim.xx]
title=CC-132 130002
sim=DeHaviland Dash-7 AI
texture=CAF_132002
prop_anim_ratio=-1.76
atc_id_enable=1
atc_heavy=0
atc_airline=CANFORCE
atc_flight_number=132002
atc_parking_types=RAMP
atc_parking_codes=CFC
ui_manufacturer=AI
ui_type=CC-132
ui_variation=402 Squadron (Winnipeg)
description=Repaint of Dee Waldron DHC-7 for AI

NOTE: texture files saved in Extended 32 bit 888-8 format using DXTBmp to retain the cleanest image. Textures may also be resaved in a more compressed format such as DXT1 or DXT3 if performance is an issue.
