This KMSP Afcad file is for use with default FS2002 scenery. This file adds many gates to KMSP for use by yourself and AI traffic. There is no overlay with this file. With the addition of AI planes and flightplans and with this file, the Minneapolis/St. Paul area comes alive!

I tried to make the gates as realistic as possible, however, due to the constraints of the KMSP physical scenery, I couldn't put many of the gates in. Below is a list, by concourse, of the number of gates in this file and the number of gates in the real world KMSP.

Gates in file/Gates in real world
A 14 / 14
B 0 / 16
C 10 / 27
D 4 / 6
E 14 / 16
F 13 / 16
G 14 / 22
Total 69 / 117

Besides the gates at the terminal, there are an additional 16 GA parking spots and another 5 military parking spots.

This afcad file is somewhat radiied (tested using aircraft from Project AI) in that 747/DC-10's park at G2-G4 and DC-10s at F8-F12. Also planes the size of 737-200/DC-9-10 or smaller park at the A concourse, which in the real world is the gates for CRJ's and Saab 340's. Furthermore, I grouped all the same size gates together then randomized them so that planes park more randomly but don't take a space reserved for a larger aircraft.

Runway 12R/30L is used for take-off.
Runway 12L/30R is used for landing.

I took great care in trying to bring you the best afcad file for KMSP. Though I regretably couldn't fit all gates in, I was able to make traffic taxi a little more realistically than I have seen in other afcad files. I also tried to get taxiing traffic to expedite their taxi as much as possible and I accomplished that to a certain degree. Watch how the traffic moves around the airport. I hope you will be pleased.
