CHEROKEE 6 PANEL

BY DEAN PETERSON

A Cherokee Six panel that I think will make you feel you are in the cockpit. Everything except the GPS is on the main panel. Gauge placement is very accurate. I had to modify things slightly, but its better than switching screens. I use this with Fred Choates Cherokee Six V2, but will work with any Cherokee Six.

INSTALLATION

Put the gauges in the main FS gauge folder, you may overwrite or not. I renamed any gauge I modified so as not to cause any problems.

Put the panel file into your Cherokee aircraft file.

I always add another [fltsim.X] section in the aircraft cfg file. Add the new number in the Title entry. Add "dean" to the panel entry and "Deans panel" to the UI_variation entry.

For example as an additional panel to Fred Choates panel and plane:

[fltsim.1]
title=Piper Cherokee Six 300.1
sim=Cherokee Six
model=
panel=Dean
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=
description=The PA-32 series began life as the Cherokee Six, a significantly modified six seat development of the PA-28 Cherokee series. \n\n\nWhile similar in configuration to the Cherokee, the Cherokee Six differed in a number of major areas. Two of the big differences were implied in its name, a six cylinder O-540 or IO-540 powerplant, and the six seat configuration. While the wing was based on the Cherokee's, the fuselage was substantially larger, with strengthened undercarriage and a larger tail. \n\n
ui_manufacturer=Piper
ui_type=Cherokee Six
ui_variation=Cherokee Six /Deans Panel
atc_heavy=0
atc_id=N30062
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=

If you don't like it, delete the panel and delete that section of the cfg file.

Thanks to all the gauge creators, too numerous to mention them all. I did not make any of the gauges, I just repainted some of the originals to work with this bitmap.

Hope you enjoy it.
