The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 Series Control Panel for FS2002 PRO

Version #1 March 1, 2003

This is a remake of an FS 98 Control Panel for FS2002 Pro. Some new features have been added and some gauges have been changed. Features are Rob Barendregt Taxi Speed and Pushback gauges (latest version). Coyote Garmin Avionics Radio Stack (with users guide). A complete repaint of the main panel. FS2002 SIMICONS, Chuck Dome's mini GPS, and the YG-7500 Radar Altimeter (also with documentation) 64 Gauges in all on the main panel alone.

Installation:

1. Unzip to temporary directory and copy and paste from there.
2. Panel cfg and panel bmp's should go into the panel folder of an aircraft of your choice.
3. All gauges should go into main gauge folder.
4. A rcb-gauges folder should have been created (copy and paste entire folder) to the gauges folder so that the folder (rcb-gauges) and its contents exsists inside the main gauges folder.
5. Place all the sound files in main sound folder.
6. Place the sound module in the module folder. (version 1.5)

That's it enjoy!!

Additional INFO

I have included all three of Rob Barendregt files. They are already in the gauge folder that is produced when you unzip the file. However, his zip files contain his copywrite info as well as user instructions. Any questions regarding the useage of the taxi speed and/or the pushback gauge shoul dbe emailed to him. Unfortunately I offer no support on those gauges. On a personal note I feel that the instructions for the useage are quite easy and it is a great addition to 3rd party panels. Also the user guides for the Coyote Garmin Avionics Radio Stack are included as well. Unfortunately I offer no support on those gauges.

Acknowledgements:

I would like to thank Barry Blaisdell barrywb@snet.net of Premier Aircraft Design for his help and encouragement and the use of the radio stack gauges from his Katana Aircraft Design. The Gauges are copywrited by Coyote Avionics Design 2002 Ike H. Slack islack@bellsouth.net whom I also thank for his excellent gauge design. ai Griffiths of Dragonflight Design for the YG-7500 Radar Altimeter. Also I would like to thank the original designer of this FS98 Panel. However, I do not know his name. I was asked to update the panel for FS2002 (a small project....turned big) There were several changes and upgrades to the panel but non-the-less he was the original designer and he deserves his credit as well.

This file was tested on a Dell Dimension 8250 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 Processor with 512 RAM and a Sound Blaster 5.1 Sound Card. I have experienced no problems what-so-ever with this file on my PC.
