Fokker G-1 Mercury

by Kazunori Ito

*******************************************************************************

I think that I make only minor aircraft recently
The very famous aircraft that everyone knows doesn't want to make it so much.

However,
Does the person of which extent know this aircraft?
I didn't know.
I didn't know even the mark of the wing.
(To the Netherlands, Sorry..............)
I surely thought that it was an aircraft of Germany because of shape etc.
It was wrong.
There was little material that is written in English.
Therefore, I don't understand the background of the development etc. of this aircraft.

The explanation to translate German into English was written as follows.
Because the automatic translation was used, it might be wrong.
In that case...................I don't know...............
Sorry.....

The Netherlands ensured a sensation on Parisian aviation fair of 1936.
FK-55 the hunter and G-1 the hunting cruiser was revolutionary designs, but did not come FK-55 further than a prototype.
G-1 made on 16 March 1937 is first escapes as from Welschap.
The LuVA ordered already fast afterwards 36 stuks.
The two-motor hunting cruiser was suitable as a hunter and as ' guarding plane ', a task for which had been also devised T-5.
Arms stood from eight voormitrailleurs and a machine-gun in a transparent point cupola in the tail.
This was the spot of the tail drawer.
With its speed of almost 500 km/u G-1 the equivalent antagonist of the German hunters was.
G-1 the Mercury came in the autumn of 1938 for the arrangement of the LuVA.
In April 1940 the ministry bought Wasp of defence still 26 G-1 hunters, intended for Spain, but because of mobilisation found by an export prohibition.
G-1 the Wasp had a weaker engine, the Wasp, then G-1 the Mercury which had Mercury.
In Belgium machine-guns were bought for these G-1s.
At moment of supply however only three G-1 Wasps could be equipped with voorbewapening of four machine-guns.
They still took part at the last moment in the fight.
A number of the other G-1'Wasps fell in the hands of the duitsers.

[ About the directions point in FS2004 ]

This aircraft model is made by using FSDS Ver2.24.
Therefore, it is possible to play basically in FS2004(FS9).
However........!!
For a wide large-scale aircraft, the distortion is caused and the phenomenon of the aerofoil tip's disappearing happens in the spot shooting mode.
If this phenomenon happens, Please switch to the spot shooting mode by using other small aircraft.
Afterwards, if this aircraft is selected, it is normally displayed.
