Luft'46 Art Aircraft Series No.3

Messerschmitt Me "Wespe"

by Kazunori Ito

*******************************************************************************

This aircraft is an completely unknown aircraft.
In the WWII end, it is one of the original bills of the aircraft development that a German air force planned.
There were two problems for this Wespe.
What role does the tail do to one?
Is it only a role in phlegm as the stability board?
Or, is it a rudder?
After all, I made it as a rudder.
Though there seemed to be impossibility a little.................
Another problem is how it is necessary to have stored the main gear.
The gear door in the body was not able to be confirmed from the picture.
However, if the gear is not stored in the body when thinking about the length of the wheel and the gear, all gears cannot be stored.
I think this problem for me to able to solve it.
Incidentally, I was made to equip with the air brake in the drawing without either.
Was it an extra thing?

Special Thanks :
I wish to express my gratitude for Luft '46 Design Team and Mr. Gino Marcomini.

This late-war Messerschmitt project "Wespe" (Wasp) is mostly unknown, and information on it is incomplete. Two seperate fuselages were designed for the Wespe":

Design I had the cockpit located midway along the fusleage, and the single He S 011 jet engine was located at the rear and was fed by a long air duct. A long tapering single fin a and rudder was chosen, with the tailplanes located about halfway up.
Design II's cockpit was loctaed far forward on the fuselage, with the single He S 011 turbojet was mounted mid fuselage. It was fed by an air duct which wrapped under the forward fuselage, and exhausted below a tail boom with a V- Tail unit.

Both designs used a tricycle landing gear arrangement, with the main gear retracting inwards from the wing and the front gear retracting forwards. No armament was specified, but at this stage in the war two MK 108 30mm cannon would probably have been fitted.

[ About the directions point in FS2004 ]

This aircraft can be basically used also with FS2004 because it is made with FSDS Ver. 2.24 .
However, the aerofoil tip might not be able to enter in the screen in the spot taking a picture view because of very wide the width of the aircraft.
Please switch to the spot taking a picture view with other aircraft when this state happens seeming this as it is because the magnification switch of the spot taking a picture doesn't operate well.
Afterwards, if this aircraft is chosen by selecting the aircraft, it is sure to be displayed by a normal magnification.
