Capt. 5. Emergency Escape Hatches: CHECKED
Both 6. Wheel Chocks: IN PLACE
Capt. 7. Ignition: OFF
Capt. 8. Battery Switch: ON
Capt. 9. Navigation Lights: AS REQUIRED
Capt. 10. Seat Belt and No Smoking: ON
F/O 11. Anti-Ice Switches: CHECKED and OFF
Capt. 12. Landing Gear Pressure: 500 LBS. MINIMUN
Capt. 13. Wing De-Ice: OFF
Capt. 14. Hydraulic Fluid: CHECKED
Capt. 15. Gear and Flap Handles: NEUTRAL
Capt. 16. Landing Gear Pins: REMOVE, IF PRESSURE IS UP

FULLEST TANKS
3. Altimeter: SET
4. Gyro and Suction: CHECKED
5. Carburetor Heat: COLD
6. Trim Tabs: SET FOR TAKE-OFF
7. Flaps: UP
8. MAGS. and Generators: CHECKED
9. Flight Controls: FREE, FULL TRAVEL

Approach and Landing
(Challenge and Awnser Method)

1. Altimeter: SET
2. "No Smoking" and "Fasten Seat Belt" Switches: ON
3. De-Icer Boots: OFF
4. Fuel Selectors: LEFT MAIN, RIGHT MAIN (OR TWO
FULLEST TANKS)
5. Mixtures: AUTO RICH
6. Brakes: OFF
7. Lower landing gear at 169MPH (147 Knots) IAS or
less, and when gear is fully extended, check
system pressure and gear pressure gauge at
600-900 PSI. Return gear selector valve handle
to "neutral". Check for green light, and check
gear down visually. Lock landing gear latch
handle to the floor. First Officer is to check
with the Captain verbally by saying "Pressure
up, green light on, I have a wheel, gear down
and locked."

Capt. 4. Both Throttles: POWERS AS NEEDED (41" MAX.
CONTINUOUS)
Capt. 5. Throttle Closed: BAD ENGINES
Capt. 6. Low RPM: BAD ENGINE
Capt. 7. Mixture: IDLE CUT-OFF BAD ENGINE
Capt. 8. Propeller: FEATHERED BAD ENGINE
F/O 9. Fuel Selector: OFF BAD ENGINE
F/O 10. Firewall Shut-Off: CLOSED BAD ENGINE
F/O 11. Fuel Booster Pumps: OFF BAD ENGINE
F/O 12. Cowl Flaps: BAD ENGINE CLOSED, GOOD ENGINE

Emergency Action in Event of Fire

Capt. 1. Close throttle on burning engine.
Capt. 2. Mixture Control: "IDLE CUT-OFF" BURNING ENGINE
Capt. 3. Feather Propeller: BURNING ENGINE
F/O 4. Fuel Selector: "OFF" BURNING ENGINE
F/O 5. Firewall Shut-Off Valve: "OFF" BURNING ENGINE
CAUTION: This action shuts off ONLY hydraulic
fluid and oil, NOT Fuel
F/O 6. Fuel Booster: "OFF" BURNING ENGINE
F/O 7. Cowl Flaps: "CLOSE" BURNING ENGINE
F/O 8. Fire Extinguisher: "SET" BURNING ENGINE
F/O 9. Fire Extinghuiser Release: "PULLED"
F/O 10. Ignition Switch: "OFF" BURNING ENGINE
11. Do NOT Attempt to Restart Burning Engine
Capt. 12. Seat Belt, No Smoking Signs: "ON"
13. If an uncontrollable wing or nacelle fire exists,
LAND WHEREVER POSSIBLE AS QUICKLY AS
POSSIBLE.
