PBY CATALINA PACKAGE FOR MS FS2002 PROFESSIONAL EDITION
By Harry Follas & Brian Horsey.
***********************************************************************
This is a freeware evaluation aircraft from a new up and coming donation-ware CD-Rom.

This donation-ware CD-Rom features 23 ‘modern day' warbird, airliner and fire bomber Consolidated PBY Catalina, Canso and Super Catalina aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Professional Edition. These aircraft come complete with three different control panels and appropriate checklists.

Proceeds from every CD sold shall help maintain our aircraft ZK-PBY in airworthy condition. It takes a lot to keep an old bird this size and age operating, especially when you consider that nearly all work that is carried out in our organization is voluntary. The aircraft requires constant maintenance that has on occasion stretched the budget of our operation to its limits. We are in dire need of a hangar to protect the aircraft from the elements. Although we have purchased the building, the costs of resurrecting it at our home airfield are quite staggering.

Not only is this aircraft very special to us but it also is very unique in the world as New Zealand is the only country today in which people can still experience the thrills of flying in a 1940s vintage amphibious Catalina flying boat. Although no longer a commercial aircraft (registered in private category), the public can still fly by sharing the flying costs and participate in a part of world aviation history.

The cost of this CD-Rom is $NZ 35.00, that is only about $US 15.00!!

As well as the flight simulator files there is an information and history section on PBY aircraft (in HTML format) and a multimedia section complete with video clips taken of/from ZK-PBY as she operates from the water!

Visit www.catalina.org.nz to purchase this CD-Rom and further details regarding our operation.
