The major airbases in the New England area are composed of ANG, AFRC and NAS bases. My nemai4.zip includes both AFCAD2 and traffic BGL files for these airbases and is to be used with Michael MacIntrye's New England Military AI Aircraft Collection, nemai1.zip, nemai2.zip and nemai3.zip.

Included in this package are both Mikie's Lite and my Heavy traffic BGL. Install either one depending on your system specs. The adjustable Lite version is for lower end systems and the Heavy version is for the higher end systems. For more information on this see the ReadMe in Mike's download zips.

If you would rather add the traffic data in either of these traffic BGL's into your own traffic BGL, simply decompile either the Lite or Heavy BGL and add the traffic data in the its traffic source files to your existing traffic source files, edit the AC#'s approriately and recompile your traffic BGL.

This package includes both AFCAD2 and traffic BGL files for the ten large military flying units in New England; one U.S. Coast Guard, one U.S. Navy, one Air Force Reserve and seven Air National Guard. They are:

U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, MA.

U.S. Navy Command and Patrol Wing 5 (CPR W5), Brunswick Naval Air Station, ME.

Air Force Reserve 439th Airlift Wing (AW), Westover Air Reserve Base, MA.

Vermont Air National Guard 158th Fighter Wing (FW), Burlington International Airport, VT.

New Hampshire Air National Guard 157th Air Refueling Wing (ARW), Pease Air National Guard Base, NH.

Maine Air National Guard 101st Air Refeueling Wing (ARW), Bangor International Airport, ME.

Rhode Island Air National Guard 143rd Airlift Wing (AW), Quonset State Airport, RI

Connecticut Air National Guard 103rd Fighter Wing (FW), Bradley International Airport, CT.

Massachusetts Air National Guard 104th Fighter Wing (FW), Barnes Municipal Airport, MA.

Massachusetts Air National Guard 102nd Fighter Wing (FW), Otis Air National Guard base, MA.

These packages are dedicated to the fine men and women that serve their country by serving in these units.

Hanscom Field, Bedford, MA is also included as it hosts transit New England military aircraft as well as practice approaches and touch and goes.

1. You will need to install the following add-on scenery as the Otis, Burlington and Bangor BGL's were created using these. If you don't install these the parking will be off from the stock scenery and besides all of these sceneries are much better than the stock airport scenery.

Coast Guard Stations:

vuscg_airsta.zip over on Avsim
Authors:Shehryar Ansari, Kyle Ramsey, Ron Pecora, Brian Smith. Go into the scenery folder and remove the CGBrunswick and CGKBGR files.

Since this add-on adds CGAS bases to two of our airports that don't host them, you should remove the following files from your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\Coast Guard Stations\scenery folder:

CGBrnswk.bgl
CGBrnswk.xcl
CGKBGR.bgl
CGKBGR.xcl

This will return both Bangor IAP and Brunswick NAS to a more realistic appearance.

Bangor IAP:

KBGR_JY1.Zip by John Young also on Avsim. You will need to remove BGL's 6-9 as they give the base static AC and take up AI parking space.

Bangor6.BGL - Static aircraft (Dornier 328 and Dash-8).
Bangor7.BGL - Static aircraft (A300, L1011 and ERJ-145 x 2).
Bangor8.BGL - Static aircraft (KC-135E's)
Bangor9.BGL - Static aircraft on the General Aviation side.

Vermont Airports:

vt_airports_04.zip by Brian Gladden also on Avsim, but use my AF2_KBTV.BGL file rather then Brian's.

2. Place either Mike's TrafficNEMAILite.BGL or my TrafficNEMAIHeavy.BGL into your
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery folder.

3. Place the airport BGL's into your FS9/ADDONSCENERY/SCENERY folder.

A huge thanks goes out to Michael MacIntrye for creating these skins for each Unit based at these fields and for Wing Ng for all this help in making the skins more realistic and his help in testing and finding all our faults.

If you have any questions please email me, hope you enjoy them.
