This land class is for Samoa (old name Western Samoa) and American Samoa. Also the small islands east of American Samoa. Tau, Fitiuta and Ofu.

Missing airports, NSMA and NSAU are in the AFCAD file and the areas have been flattened for FSGenesis users. The AFCAD's should also work for systems not using FSGenesis terrain mesh. AFCAD airports are also included for the other islands.

INSTALLATION:
Unzip the Lc_Samoa file into a temporary folder.

There are AFCAD files enclosed. First check that you do not have duplicate AFCAD airport files. They are located in:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon
Scenery\scenery. If you find duplicates back them up and then delete the old AFCAD files. Add the files I enclosed in the AFCAD folder to to replace the deleted airports.
If you are using other AFCAD airports for Samoa and are satisfied with them don't add the enclosed AFCAD files that I have included.

Now for the scenery file Lc_Samoa.

Add the enclosed Lc_Samoa file to the Flightsimulator9/Addon Scenery folder and activate the new area in your FS2004 Library.
Exit and restart FS2004. The scenery will then be installed.

I have had comments about my Tahiti land class saying that the islands look flat, no mountain peaks as are in the photos I enclosed with the scenery files. This is due to a program that I highly recommend for FS2004 made by FSGenesis. It is terrain mesh. The mountains and hills become much more realistic. Because FSX is now out the price for the terrain mesh for FS9 is very low and covers the entire world. I consider it the best add on that I have ever purchased.

I also want to thank the Google people for Google Earth. It has saved much time in constructing scenery for various locations that I have never visited. I admire the scenery designers of the past who did not have Google Earth as a reference. I also use USGS and other aids but there is much more guessing about what land class scenery to use and where to put the scenery without Google Earth.

I used the excellent landclass modification program Landclass Assistant 1.4 by John Cillis.
