PREPARATION OF INSTALLATION
---------------------------

ATTENTION !!! If you have a previous version installed, which contain database files
you want to keep, YOU MUST BACKUP THEM BEFORE TO INSTALL. It is NOT necessary to do
the same for your GPS programs. Installation process will never delete them.

If you install over a previous version, prior 1.90, you MUST restore your actual
"aircraft.cfg" file to its original state IN ANY CASES. To do it, please read
uninstall instructions in "install.txt" file of this previous version. This is
not necessary if your previous version is 1.90 or over.

With the new installation process implemented in version 1.90 and over, you can
choose to install or not the two demo's of both V1 and V2 GPS gauges on MS 737_400.

To run properly, installation of demo's, for any version, need the FS standard
aircraft B737_400 has not been suppressed from "Aircraft" directory.

New demo's installation process will rename the original file "aircraft.cfg" of
MS aircraft B737_400 in "aircraft_SAV.cfg" and install its own version.

ATTENTION !!! FOR FS2002 !!! At the time of this writing IT IS NOT KNOW IF A PATCH
WILL BE ISSUED ONE DAY, WHO MIGHT MODIFY THIS FILE. IF IT HAS BEEN THE CASE WHEN YOU
READ THAT, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL DEMO'S, UNTIL A NEW COMPATIBLE VERSION OF
ACS-GPS IS PUBLISHED.

Note that this new installation process will NEVER remove previously installed demo's.
Removing demo's consist of almost restoring original "Aircraft.cfg" file and if you
want do it 100% clean, to remove also both:

FSInstallDir\Aircraft\B737_400\panel.GPSV1 directory for GPS V1 demo
FSInstallDir\Aircraft\B737_400\panel.GPSV2 directory for GPS V2 demo

If you are unsure of something about implications of demo's installation, I recommend
to you, to choose installation WITHOUT THEM.

INSTALLATION
------------

In this archive you found a file: ACSGPS.EXE, an auto-decompactifiable archive
which will prepare into a temporary directory all the material for the installation.
Therefore, before to run ACSGPS.EXE, you may wish to first create a specific
temporary directory.

Now run ACSGPS.EXE. This will open a small window.

In this small window, you found the field "Unzip to Folder", which is set to
Windows default temporary directory (generally: c:\windows\temp). If you decided
to use an other temporary directory, replace this default path by the path of
the temporary directory you have decided to use.

Press button "UnZip". This will decompact all material into the specified
temporary directory.

Now, with your files Explorer, go to this directory, open it and run the program
called "Setup.exe". This program will automatically detect all FS versions you
may have installed on your machine.

Select one or more FS versions where you wish to install ACS-GPS. Do not forget
to choose, for every version you selected, if you want the installation of the
demo with the appropriate selector. When ready, press install button.

Finally, you can remove, if you wish, all the temporary directory.

Create a shortcut to file "ACSGPSda.exe", located in your FS installation directory
(consult your Windows help if you don't know how to do this). Be careful to specify
as "default run directory" the same directory as for the executable or Data Manager
launched from this shortcut will not work properly.

WHAT DO THIS INSTALLATION
-------------------------

You will found inside your FS installation directory, a new directory named
"ACS-GPS". Inside this directory is located all the material of ACS-GPS, like
documentation, database files, GPS programs and all files you may need to
implement the gauge on the panel of your choice (see Tutorial.txt).

Apart this directory, here is the list of all other files and directories this
installation will add to your flight simulator.

FSInstallDir\ACS-GPS.dat GPS memory file
FSInstallDir\ACSGPSda.exe Data's Manager external launcher
FSInstallDir\ACSGPSda.dll Data's Manager extension itself
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-V1.gau GPS gauges
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-V2.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-V3.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-V4.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-KLN90B_CRT.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-KLN90B_LCD.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-GNC250XL.gau
FSInstallDir\gauges\ACS.GPS98-LEARJET.gau

FSInstallDir\Aircraft\B737_400\panel.GPSV1 directory for GPS V1 demo
FSInstallDir\Aircraft\B737_400\panel.GPSV2 directory for GPS V2 demo

FSInstallDir\ACSGPSda.ini Data's Manager init file. Will be
created on first run of Data Manager

FIRST TEST OF ACS-GPS
---------------------

After starting FS, you will discover two new B737-400 aircraft in your aircraft
selection list:

Boeing 737-400 (ACS-GPS98-V1): This is an implementation demo for the GPS V1
standard version. This demo is implemented as
an overlay over HSI gauge.

Boeing 737-400 (ACS-GPS98-V2): This is an implementation demo for the GPS V2
compact version. This demo is implemented as
a classic FS "floating" window.

Use key "SHIFT-6" (FS200X "SHIFT-7") to toggle the GPS gauge display. You can also
toggle using a menu item of FS (consult your FS documentation).

Do not forget to read all other documentation files.

UNINSTALL
---------

Simply delete all previously mentioned files and directories.

Delete file "aircraft.cfg" into directory of aircraft B737_400 and rename
"aircraft_SAV.cfg" in "aircraft.cfg".
