GAMBELL AIRPORT - VERSION 1.0 [ICAO: (P)GAM] - ST. LAWRENCE ISLAND (AK)
Information:
------------
St. Lawrence Island is situated in the Bering Strait only 60 NM away from the Mainland
of Russia and approx. 600 NM northwest of Anchorage !
Gambell City is situated on the northwestcoast of the island.
My scenery project is only semi-real , because of the limitation of FS98 the airport
location is about 12.9 NM south as it is in real life . I couldn't find pictures of the
tarmac , that is why my parking positions , terminal , aircraft ,... are fictional.
( also the ferry-terminal in the surrounding of the airport ) !
Airport specifications:
-----------------------
- elevation 5 ft ( in real 27 ft )
- Open to the public
- controlled by the Anchorage Center
- no landing fee
- Rwy. 16 & 34
length/width: 4500 ft/96 ft
Surface: asphalt
- no ILS available
- no fuel
- my ATIS: 119.0 Mhz
next VOR: ULL - Kukuliak - 117.30
next NDB: GAM - Gambell - 369.0 - is situated on the real airport location !
