Add-On Scenery for FS2004

This is my 2nd freeware scenery release for Microsoft FlightSimulator FS2004.

OVERVIEW:>

Goose Creek Airport is a small general aviation airfield located in Indian-Trail, North Carolina USA. Pressley Aviation Inc. is based at the airport, and is a very popular Flight Training School for new pilots, and old timers as well. It boosts a family-oriented, friendly atmosphere where people feel relaxed and enthusiastic about the joys of flying. Be sure to visit the website (link shortcut included in this package) to learn more about what Pressley Aviation offers.

Today I currently live only a few miles away from Goose Creek Airport. As a child, I visited the little airport many, many times with my grandfather on lazy summer Saturday afternoons. He was good friends with Mr. Don Simpson, who once lived in the large house which is located directly across the ramp/runway area from the airport hanger and offices.

Back then it was not uncommon to see some cattle, goats and several chickens roaming about in the fenced areas along side the runway. Today much has changed at the little airport, but the chicken houses are still there along with some of the farm equipment and lots of old things stored among the many sheds that are scattered around the property.

Goose Creek Airport [28A] add-on scenery was created with ADE9X (Airport-Design-Editor) version 1.47

REQUIREMENTS:>

This airport scenery uses many custom objects from the freeware Scenery libraries of RWY12 and E-Z Scenery programs. You will need to be sure you have these items installed for this scenery to display properly. They are available from the SurClaro website as auto-installers.

Look for the following files:

ez_1.zip

rwy12_1.zip

These libraries MUST be properly installed & activated within FS2004 before you install this scenery for Goose Creek Airport. Otherwise, the scenery will not display properly, if even at all. The auto-installers make the job easy-as-pie!

***NOTCIE****

This scenery was designed using the high-quality add-on scenery terrain mesh available from FSGenesis.com called 19.1m Terrain Mesh / North Carolina (FS9)

The older 38m FSG terrain mesh also works perfectly too, as does the default FS2004 mesh.

*** All items are set to display at the NORMAL scenery levels in FS9 ****

I hope everyone will enjoy this little airport scenery. It has been a very long time coming.

The main reason for being released due to time constraints and real-life issues preventing me from having the proper time to complete the final details of the scenery. Experienced a constant graphical issue with random lines "floating" above the rotating tree objects. It was an issue in my previous project as well. Next edition will use a different tree model. I'm still not 100% happy with every detail, but I am releasing it "AS IS" so that people can go ahead and enjoy the scenery. It is 100% fun and completely usable as is... I am just a fanatic about the little things. I never could overcome some of the issues I wanted to correct on this particular scenery project. I am still learning how-to make everything work. Maybe using the new version 1.50 of ADE9X, I will be able to finally accomplish the task. Look for an updated version of this airport out sometime early January 2012.
