This is the panel/cockpit for the Dornier D-OX modeled by Wolfram Beckert. It is original art based on photographs I have of the cockpit and it is the closest I could come. The Instruments, not my own by the way, are the best I could find to match the plane, the country where it was made and the era. Additional instruments are there to allow control and tracking of items that in the actual aircraft were handled by other members of the crew.
The oversized altimeter is a substitute for a 0-500 meters secondary altimeter used on the actual aircraft. Chuck Dome's HFADF is highly recommended for this aircraft and if you have it, it will show on the panel. HFADF5 is available at SurClaro
For those who need more modern navigation instruments, selecting the radio will also display ADF and two VOR instruments. ATIS and transponder are also available.
Included is a control yoke that also was based on photographs.

To install:
First rename or delete your existing panel.cfg file. Then unzip the contents of DOXPANEL.ZIP into the panel folder. The files you should see are:

1. DOXPANEL.BMP; the panel itself,(1024 X 768).
2. DOXPNL80.BMP; the panel itself,(800 X 600).
3. DOXyoke.bmp; the control yoke.
4. DOXradi.bmp; the radio panel with the navagation instruments.
5. Engine.bmp; a flight engineers panel that is still in developemnt.
at present it covers only four engines. One instrument for each
three engines.
6. panel.cfg; the file that puts everything in place.
7. panel800.cfg; configuration for 800 X 600 display.
8. DOXnote; this information file.
9. Gauges.zip; All the gauges used in this panel except HFADF.

Next unzip the Gauges.zip file into your FS98 Gauges file. You may ignore duplicate file names as all gauges are unmodified or renamed.

There may be problems with this panel in full screen FX mode. I do not yet know how to correct them, but I suspect color palette problems. Any advice will be welcome. Often such problems are "fixed" by using a screen of lesser resolution. For this reason I supplied the same panel in 800X600 resolution. To use the 800 X 600 version, rename panel.cfg to anything else and rename panel800.cfg to panel.cfg. The file will now use DOXPNL80.BMP for display and the instruments will be placed accordingly.

All the instruments except HFADF5 are in the gauges.zip file.

THIS PANEL IS FREEWARE.
The artwork for this panel is copyrighted. No charges of any kind are authorized for this panel. I want to thank Wolfram Beckert for his fine aircraft model, and the cockpit photographs. Credit goes to Brian Kostick (Br5an@aol.com) of Kostidyne Systems Inc. for his excellent multi-radio tuner instrument. The metric instruments, I understand, come from a panel by Thomas Ferber for Wolfram Beckert's Junker F-13. Thanks to both for them. If I have not acknowledged any instrument maker, I apologize and hope they will not object to this use of their fine creations.
