This is the a " near perfect" repaint of the T-6 Harvard Mk IV #213 of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope Ontario, Canada.
For FS2004 ACOF only

OriginalAircraft Designed by
Denis da Silva and Daniel da Silva.

**requires t6texanv2.zip from simnetwork.com to work**

The CWH Harvard was built as a Mark IV variant by Canadian Car and Foundry in November 1951. It saw service at Centralia and Trenton training schools until 1965, when it was sold to the civilian market as surplus.

Installation.

1. Download the amazing t6texanv2.zip from http://www.simnetwork.com. Open and install into FS9 as instructed in the read me text file.

There are 7 variants of the Harvard contained in this package. You will be substituting" texture 3".

2. Locate:
C:/program files/ microsoft games/ FS9/ Aircraft/ T-6 Texan v.2

3. move that texture.3 to a safe place like on the desk top or a backup folder

4. copy my new texture.3 folder from the unzipped folder into it's place

Go to the .cfg file and change:

title= Warplane Heritage Harvard

and

ui_variation=Canadian Warplane Heritage Harvard

It will look like this:

[fltsim.3]
title=Warplane Heritage Harvard
sim=T-6_Harvard_MK4

panel=
sound=
texture=3

Issues:

Since this is my first repaint, I have noticed the rivet
lines don't line up between the two fuselage halves.
And a small white blotch appears behind the canopy.
You may want to correct these using a .bmp editor like
MS Paint or Jasc Paint Shop Pro by editing the f.bmp
file in the texture.3 folder. If you figure it out, please let
me know so I may do the same at

douglasesmith@sympatico.ca.

The exhaust on the right side fuselage needs to be
chromed. If you know how, please tell me by email so I
may do the same. Thanks.

In regards to permission to use the da Silva Harvard, I
have tried with no success to get a reply from them at
their web site and through their personal email links.
Apparently I am not the only one to encounter this no
response. I decided to go ahead with the upload only
because of 1. pride in my work, 2. eagerness to
contribute to the Sim community that has given me so
much 3. My total respect for the original artwork and
the artists who created it. A new paint scheme only
means that more enthusiasts can enjoy the working
model and make it even more popular. If there is an
award to be given to the da Silva team, they have my
nomination. I hope this validates my enthusiasm. If I
am wrong, I apologize. Now go fly the Harvard and have fun, IT's FREE!
