Scenery description:
-------------------
This scenery is an accurate and detailed rendition of the Quebec/Jean Lesage International airport. Information available in the latest official aeronautical publications and several pictures were used as guide in ordre to reproduce the buildings and other custom 3D objects as accuratly as possible without sacrificing the FPS.

The scenery includes An AFCAD file for each version of Flight Simulator, allowing the AI trafic to move accordingly with the scenery's layout. For consistency throughout the year, the JULIETT taxiway is not used by AI trafic since it is note maintained during winter.

FS2002: AFCAD file for AFCAD V1.40
FS2004: AFCAD2 file (with airline codes assigned to gates)

This scenery is compatible with the Quebec MESH terrain by Gilles Gauthier.

What's new in this version ?
--------------------------
This version offers mostly compatibility with FS2004 while permitting the FS2002 users to continue to take advantage of current and future enhancements of the scenery. The enhancements in this version are:

- Runway 06-24 is now aligned with the ILS from FS2002 / FS2004
- Parkings at gates 3, 4 and 5 modified.
- Jetway at gate 6 is removed.
- Edition and correctives to some textures, such as Aeropro, Air Canada Jazz and Pro Aviation hangars

Installation
------------
If you are using a prior version of the Quebec/Jean Lesage airport, you must unsinstall it before installing version 2.1.

After unzipping "cyqb2v21.zip", you get a "CYQB2002" folder, with a "AFCAD FS2002", "Charts", "Scenery" and "Texture" subfolders. You also get 2 other ZIP files(scenery_FS2002.zip et scenery_FS2004.zip) containing scenery files specific to each version of Flight Simulator. The Charts folder contains the approach charts in JPEG format.

Before activating the scenery, you must prepare the "Scenery" folder according to the version of Flight Simulator that you use.
- If you use FS2002, unzip the content of "scenery_FS2002.zip" into the "Quebec2002\Scenery" folder.
- If you use FS2004, unzip the content of "scenery_FS2004.zip" into the "Quebec2002\Scenery" folder.

The scenery files for your version of Flight Simulator are now installed and you are ready to activate the scenery in Flight Simulator.

STEP-1:
Activate the scenery in Flight Simulator's Scenery Library.

Start Flight Simulator.
1. Choose the menu item "World/Scenery Library".
2. Click on "Add area"
3. Browse to your "CYQB2002" directory.
4. Under "Scenery Area Title", type "CYQB2002".
5. Click "OK".
You must now close Flight Simulator.

Note: If you are using the FRONTENAC scenery by Andre Cote and Michel Baron, it must have priority over CYQB2002 so that the Ancienne-Lorette church remains visible. This is accomplished in Flight Simulator's Scenery Library by moving down the CYQB2004 entry in the list until it has a priority value that is greater than the one assigned to FRONTENAC scenery.

A scenery having a priority value of "10" will have priority over all sceneries having a priority value of "11" or greater, but not over those with a priority value of "9" or less.

STEP-2:
Add the Flatten lines in the scenery.cfg file.
1. Make sure Flight Simulator is not running.
2. Open the file scenery.cfg with Notepad (recommended since it is a text only file). It is located in Flight Simulator's main directory. It would be a good idea to first make a backup copy of this file, just in case ...
3. Find the entry for CYQB 2002 scenery (should be at the bottom of the file) and add the following lines to the entry:

Flatten.0=244,N46 47.04,W71 25.31,N46 48.80,W71 22.71,N46 48.37,W71 22.08,N46 46.53,W71 24.59
Flatten.1=244,N46 47.17,W71 23.64,N46 48.37,W71 22.08,N46 47.65,W71 21.98,N46 47.06,W71 22.49

Once done, the section should look like this:

[Area.xxx]
Title=CYQB2002
Local=..\Scenery\CYQB2002
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=xxx
Flatten.0=244,N46 47.04,W71 25.31,N46 48.80,W71 22.71,N46 48.37,W71 22.08,N46 46.53,W71 24.59
Flatten.1=244,N46 47.17,W71 23.64,N46 48.37,W71 22.08,N46 47.65,W71 21.98,N46 47.06,W71 22.49

4. Save the file scenery.cfg.

STEP-3:
Importing AFCAD file

If you use FS2004, you have nothing to do regarding AFCAD2 since the file is included in the scenery files and activates automatically.

For FS2002, you must import the file contained in the "AFCAD FS2002" folder by using the software AFCAD v1.40 available at www.SurClaro.com and www.SurClaro

The scenery is now installed and you may restart Flight Simulator.
