Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport
Erlanger, Kentucky

Located near Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, Cincinnati
International Airport has been one of the most well-rated airports in North America. The
airport is primarily served by US domestic carriers and is a hub for Delta ( with Delta
Connections-Comair and Atlantic Coast Airlines ) and DHL.

This is very dense scenery. I have carefully worked to maximize detail without
too much of a frame rate reduction and usually get no worse than about 18 frames
per second at the highest density settings. I recommend those with slower machines
to conduct an approach and landing in a 'normal' density setting or lower and
switch to a higher density setting for taxi.

The scenery if for summer only. The addition of fall and winter textures would have
been too much work and would create too large a download file.

Also, if the trees affect frame rate, or if they are just plain annoying, you can
remove them by deleting ( or moving ) the cvgtrees.bgl file.

There are a couple of known bugs in the scenery: The approach lighting system on
runway 18R is missing. This is due to a change in elevation near the approach end
that would be too time consuming and difficult to adjust. Also, you may notice a
significant break in the ground elevation near the northeast corner of the area where
the default Flight Simulator elevation of the Ohio river does not match up with a more
accurate location of the Ohio river in my scenery.

As usual, default AI generated aircraft are not compatible with this scenery.
I also do not have miscellaneous airport equipment, such as baggage carts or
fuel trucks. I request other designers to add static scenery and AI aircraft
as I am completely burned out with the developement of this scenery... again!

To get to the airport, use the default scenery 'Goto Airport' function in the
'World' menu. Choose any default runway and it will position your aircraft on
any of the runways at Cincinnati.

To install this scenery, unzip this file in a temporary directory. Click and
drag the 'CVG2002' folder into your 'Scenery' directory in Flight Simulator. Start
FS2002 and go to the World... Scenery Library menu....
Press the 'Add Area' option...
Then use the file manager window that next appears and search for the 'CVG2002'
folder and double-click that folder. Type in any title in the 'Title' window and
check the box for 'Use this Scenery directly'. Set the priority to 1 (it should
be defaulted to 1) to avoid conflicts with other third-party scenery.

I highly recommend that after you activate the scenery, you exit and
restart FS2002 before going to the scenery area.

Again, to find the airport, use the 'Go to Airport'... option in the World menu.
Search for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Intl. All runway choices will correctly
place you on that runway.

Included are 2 screenshots to provide a comparison to see if you correctly
installed the scenery.
