ANA, All Nippon Airways, is the second largest carrier in Japan. It also was the first fully privately owned and operated airline in Japan. ANA's history can trace all the way back to 1953, when a small company started operating helicopters as Non-Scheduled flights. In 1973, ANA acquired their first and much anticipated widebody jetliner, Lockheed L1011 TriStar. As a part of their expansion plan, and to compete against Government funded Japan Air Lines growing B747 fleet, ANA purchases their first B747s in 1978. Soon, ANA had found themselves to be the luanch customer for B767-300s. Today, ANA utilized one of the largest fleet of B767s in the world.
In 2002, ANA has received their first full cargo equipment, Boeing 767-300ER (F). Although, ANA has been operating cargo flight with its subsidary, NCA, Nippon Cargo Airlines, this marks their first equipment to wear full ANA Cargo scheme. Since it is a joint operation equipment with NCA, one side is painted with ANA Cargo marking, and the other side is painted with NCA logo.
