FS2002 Aircraft Spitfire MkIX Belgian AF

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This file is best read in Notepad with wordwrap turned on.

The plane is a Supermarine Spitfire MkIX of the Belgian Air Force Fighter School
at Coxyde circa 1953-1956.

This is a Gmax model for FS2002. Aircraft by Paul Rebuffat. Repaint by Paul Barry.

History
-------
After downloading and flying the excellent Spitfires by Paul Rebuffat, I thought that I
would try a repaint. I chose this MkIX for two reasons. Firstly because I simply liked
the colour scheme! Secondly, because I believe that this aircraft (SM41) was MH434 of the
RAF. During WW2, MH434 claimed eight kills and flew 74 missions flying with 222 Sqn and
349 Sqn. After WW2, she was bought by the Royal Netherlands AF in 1947. In October 1953,
she was handed over to the Belgian AF as SM41 and flew with the Advanced Pilot School at
Koksijde and with 13 Wing at Brustem. More recently (1983), she was sold to Ray Hanna
and is now part of the Breitling Fighters which displays at airshows.

Just think of this aircraft as a rare and valuable warbird. You have a hand-held GPS, so
you can fly from show to show!

I have used and tested the plane in FS2002 pro. I expect it to work in FS2002 std also.

Installation
------------

For automatic installation, unzip to your main FS2002 directory.

To manually install (PREFERABLE), unzip first to a temporary directory. Then copy the folder
spitfire_IX_Belg (found in the aircraft directory) to your main aircraft directory in
FS2002.

Then copy and paste the contents of the Effects folder into your main FS2002 effects folder.

Finally, copy and paste the contents of the Gauges folder into your main FS2002 gauges
folder.

I do not expect that you will be asked to overwrite any files. However, if you are asked
then just say no!

Now just load up FS and fly!

Many thanks to Paul Rebuffat for his fantastic Spitfire. Also thanks to him for reviewing
this version and giving some excellent feedback. Thanks also to Dan Swart for allowing me
to use his excellent texture templates. Please also see the 'must read' file.
My work is limited to the repaint and to putting this version together. I took Paul's MkIX
and added the panel from his MkVII. Then I changed the config file for FS2002 and to add
light and contrail effects (press the letter I).
