// FS2004 Panel
// DeHavilland Dash 7 Panel for FS2004, by Scott Thomas
// Copyright 2003, Scott Thomas

This is a high resolution panel hand drawn from photos of real Dash 7 panels as well as info from Dash 7 manuals, I have made every attempt to duplicate the real panel within the limits of available freeware gauges, functionality, and viewing area of FS2k4. It has a full set of cockpit views and special nite lighting thanks to The Flightsimvet Club!! (http://www.fsgateway.com/tips.asp)

Be sure to check out the DPI.jpgs for operation help!

First, Credits.
I would like to apologize for not listing all the wonderful gauge programmers, without whom, no aircraft panel would be possible. I have downloaded literally hundreds of panels in search of the gauges I feel best fit any particular application, so I forget who all the credit for such gauges should go to!. If you see something and feel you should be given the gauge credit for it, please contact me and I will amend this readme.

Some credits I know of:
Nick Pike for his gauge code and invaluable help with my own gauge programming\
Dai Griffiths for his Dragonflight Design Gauges as well as his help with my attempt at gauge programming
Siegfried Lenz for his invaluable technical help (Great Dash 7 web page!)
Henrik Pederson for the Great Dash 7 cockpit photos!
Clive Ryan cfryan50@yahoo.com.au for use of his C-130 gauges
Francisco Sanchez-CastaƱer for his Dash 7 gauges
HGHB Instruments (The HGHB files are freeware versions.)
The FPDA for their gauges, switches, sounds, etc
FSD for thier gauges, switches, etc
Ernie Kennedy for his gauges
Eric Ernst for his gauges
Chuck Dome for his gauges and gauge utilities (Gaubmp and Make Pink)
Gimp freeware paint program
The Flightsimvet Club for thier FS2002 Tips Page!
Cfgedit by Ed Struzynski
Arne Bartels for his gauges work and his xml tutorial, and help with my own gauges!
Richard Probst for his gauges
Ernie Alston for the Rwy Info gauge

Thanks to Microsoft for the "open platform," enabling us to enjoy this endevor!

Special Thanks to Milton Shupe for Developing the fantastic Dash 7 for 2002 that inspired me to do this panel! and to... Milton Shupe, Bernt Stolle, Francois Dumas, Didier Keller, Joco Paz, Don Moser, Glenn Davey, Henrik Pederson, Siegfried Lenz, Plays 7, Paul Saunders, Pops0, N222TT, Hawk, Robert Palmer, Brian Cook, Paco Sanchez (have I forgotten anyone?) for all the input and expertise developing the panel!!

Notes and Known Issues:

Some Gauges have been updated with "Make Pink" gauge lighting utility by Chuck Dome

Some gauges with the "ST_" or "Dash 7_" prefix are not my gauges, but only existing gauges with modified bitmaps and retain their original names in the gauge name.

This panel is a high resolution panel and is recommended for use in full screen @ 1024x768 res or better.

There is no Virtual Cockpit yet...this will be added later

You may find on some systems we have noted some strange anomolies with the oil gauges. Dont know what causes this, but if we learn, we'll fix!

Third, The legal stuff!
This is FREEWARE! Dont make money with it! DO NOT INCLUDE IT IN ANY PAYWARE, SHAREWARE, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF "PAY TO USE" STUFF! KEEP SIMMING FREE! Please, if you modify or include any of it in any file for upload, please give myself, and the above credit for thier work! All gauges contained remain the property of their respective authors, and they retain all rights. Use them only as allowed by their authors!

I claim no responsibility for incorrect installation or improper system operation following installation of this panel. This panel works in fs2k4, on a 17" screen, in 1024x768 Full Screen, 32 bit color, GForce Ti200 video card, and has been tested extensivly on several other systems!.

Hope ya enjoy flying this as much as I enjoyed building it!
