NOTE !!!! THIS IS A TWO PART DOWLOAD. THIS FILE INCLUDES THE GAUGES! YOU MUST ALSO DOWNLOAD [320ry_2.zip] for the GAUGES folder.

Dear Flightsimmers:

INTRO:

This is my third submission to the FS Community, the first being the panel for the B737NG Series. This upload is provided with much care and respect for the pursuit of professional aviation and those who are dedicated to flight simulation. It is submitted for your personal pleasure. Please do not use it for monetary gain without expressed permission.

CREDITS:

A great amount of thanks goes to those 'geniuses' who design and produce the thousands of gauges for MS Flight Simulators. A large portion of the gauges in the panel have been designed by Ken Mitchell. He has cheerfully agreed to the use of his gauges in this project. Without that, the overall quality of the panel would have suffered greatly.

MUST BE SAID:

From past Emails I have received, it is obvious that there is a wide spectrum of experience in the sim world. To use a panel such as this, it is important that you;

1. Are familiar with FS and the installation of files
2. Understand the basic concepts of flight principles
3. That your PC processor and RAM are equal to handling files such as this.

Those of us who fly professionaly spend hundreds of hours in ground school, flight simulators and finally on-hands training in each and every piece of equipment we fly. DO NOT LOAD THE PANEL, PUSH THE THROTTLES FORWARD and hope for the best!!! SPEND SOME TIME in some quiet corner of the airport and get familiar with the instruments and the panel. Get familiar with the gauges and their location. This applies to ALL the panels, including the Pedestal and the Overhead. Get to know your plane and your cockpit. The Final Approach is not a good time to look for the APPR gauge or to set your NAV settings. We also don't jump from 738s to 747s and then to 320s in the real world and it is highly unrealistic to think that you can do so in FS. USE A CHECKLIST. Learn the tolerances of the Speed Brakes, the FLAPS, the Gears.

INSTALLATION:

IMPORTANT!!! This panel contains hi-rez bitmaps and detailed gauges. It works best at 1280 X 1024 pixel setting. If this is impossible for you, let me know and we'll work something out.

EXTRACT the GAUGES zip. file so it will give you a GAUGES folder. Open the extracted GAUGES folder and place EVERYTHING in it directly into your FS/GAUGES folder. (DO NOT place the GAUGES folder itself into the FS\GAUGES folder. Just the contents)

UNZIP the PANEL zip. Name the PANEL folder a name of your liking, i.e. [Panel.320RJY], and place it in the FS/AIRCRAFT folder. If you need instructions simpler than that, you may email me.

NOTE!! FS9 does not recognize some older gauges and modules. If you haven't done so already, open your FS9.cfg folder and copy and past the following into it.

[OLDMODULES]
FSUIPC.DLL=1
FSSOUND.DLL=1
GAUGES.DLL=1

FSUIPC.DLL you should already have a later version of it. FSSound.DLL can be found almost anywhere.

DETAILS:

There are several 'hidden' gauges and switches in the panesl. Some are in the AUTOPILOT area, i.e course adjust, Altitude, VS, etc. as well as in the PEDESTAL panel. Exlore these aeas with your mouse until it indicates an active field.

This is an AIRBUS-TWIN panel which works best with NON-VC aircraft. It includes a REAR panel window for the 319-320 series. I have included a REAR bitmap for an A330 if you should choose to use it with the 330 series.

I hope this panel adds to your FS experience and pleasure. If any questions or problems arise, please feel free to contact me. My work takes me away several days at a time but I will respond within 3-4 days at the most.
