Tell me, who hasn't seen an Airbus A32X lately? I've never thought of doing an Airbus A32X
soundset, they're waaaaaay to common :) A while ago when I started up FS I wanted to do a
short hop from FRA/EDDF (Frankfurt) to SPL/EHAM (Schiphol) and I came to the sad conclusion
that I hadn't done a soundset for a short/medium-range aircraft. The ideal aircraft for
this sort of flight is the Airbus A32X series. So I started by downloading a nice iFDG Lufthansa
A319 and fitting it with the PSS panel, mods by Edward Cox ;) I then tried out loads of soundsets,
but not one had truly "nailed it". And so I started work on this soundset...
There are a lot of CFM powered A32X aircraft taking off from my home airport (Amsterdam Schiphol)
throughout the day, so I didn't have to travel far to study the external sounds. As for the internal
sounds; Timon Ibrügger supplied me with some great recordings which were very useful as reference
material. And finally, after two months of "hard labour" I'm finished. I have put in my best efforts
in reproducing the most realistic cockpit environment. Don't worry though, the external part of the
soundset also got lots of attention :)
After spending a lot of time ironing out the clicks, crackles and sound cross-overs I can
guarantee you your "virtual bus" will sound just like the real thing, if you don't trust me,
listen to the included demos!
Usage:
Recommended for use with the iFDG A32X aircraft range including A318, A319, A320 and A321
models. This soundset has also been tested succesfully with Pedro Oliveira's new A320 FDE.
Although it isn't 100% compatible, the soundset can also be used with:
Project Airbus A320
PSS Airbus Pro (A32X Series)
