VC's fine for me. Only with some almost accurate gauges, but works fine with the switches. I just keep on adjusting the view back and forth but I switch to 2D when looking at the gauges.

I use FS2002 as trainer for RC Heli flying. Tower view is great, external view with the fixed option is also very suitable. When I tried to flew my first heli, the famous Schlueter Heli Baby ( 20 years ago ) there wasn't such a fine thing like FS, so it crashed :-(

Virtual Cockpit is good but you can't see all the gauges. I still use it though when flying something like a jet and not a civilian plane.

I like the ability to scroll about to view. I seem to do much better on my approaches in VC view than any other. In some planes, the instruments are not as sharp as in 2D; however, the ability to magnify the view remedies that situation.

I like virtual cockpit, because I need to read gauges and see what relation my aircraft is to the ground, and I like to sightsee. I think the most fun I've had so far is downloading planes from this site that are truly unique, and then flying them all over my home state of Michigan. This flight sim also gives evryone the chance to tour their favorite aircraft's interior and fly it unlike a museum piece, which you can only go and look at and dream about what it'd be like to fly it. I usually play combat flight sims, but that gets tiring trying not to get shot down. It's nice just to be able to fly without a bogey on yer six. Well, I hope evryone else enjoys this game as much as I do. Take It Easy All!

I got most of my ai from www.projectai.com which is easy to install. i also wrote my own ai flight plans for my home airport of cardiff international it only has 1 runway but is now very busy! another great plane spotter is the goodyear blimp! have good flights!!

You really need all the views to see what's happening, let's face it this is sim. I like the verts where all the buttons and interfaces work it makes it more fun, this also lets you look around the cabin to see the builder has hidden. But the kicker is seeing the plane fly from outside, you can't do this in a real plane...at least not with out a parachute...

I like the external view...the only problem is if your not on auto pilot..you have to switch back to the cockpit to check your HEADING, SPEED, and ALTITUDE. This information would be very helpfull if it was displayed at the bottom of the screen when your not on auto pilot and flying by the stick in the external view. I started playing flight sims when the F-19 came out (If anyone remembers it) and I can say that from the late 1980's to 2004 SIMS of all types are GREAT. So to the programers....Fix this problem I was speeking of...and keep up the GOOD WORK.

I feel that the Virtual cocpit view is the best; at 0.5 zoom one can easily see the vital gages. It is extremely usefull when flying jets because one can adjust the autopilot and get a better view for approaches. Also, in private/general aviation aircraft, during VFR flight, it is not vital to be able to see all the gages since most of them are designed for IFR flight. Overall the virtual cocpit gives the best view for any part of flying.

I want a legible virtual cockpit so I can look around like I could in reality. In FS9 I want to find my way VFR or IFR so I want proper instruments a map and/or a readable GPS. For longer trips I won't use any thing without an autopilot. I find very few planes that satisfy my need for accuracy.

I flew in reality many years ago...now for personal reasons I can do very little. Silly as it sounds I can travel again...in a good sim thanks to brilliant people who create these.
