Flight Sim FSX Scenery: Introduction: Thank you for downloading and Installing the Scenery for Wilkins Aerodrome (YWKS) in Antarctica. Wilkins Airport is an airport mainly for Arrivals for transportation for Sceintists to avoid the extremely long journey created by boat. This scenery depicts the Real YWKS in many ways but there are many constraints. KNOWN PROBLEMS: The altitude of the airport is 2600. The real life one is 2300 - 2550. This was changed due to the flightsim X default ground elevation. There will be a mountain about a 7NM final for rwy 09. That is where the scenery started. I didnt know how to get rid of this so please bare with it. This scenery does NOT work on FS9. IF you can get it to work on FS9, please email me and it will be apprecaited. There is no Ramp, only helipad startups and Runway startups. This is because of a BGL Error that occursed. Feel free to spawn the planes onto the helipad areas. It wont make a difference INSTALLATION: Simply unzip the YWKS.BGL and YWKSCVX.BGL and place in your .../Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Addon Scener/Scenery Folder Then open up FS, and type in YWKS in the ICAO code or Wilkins in the Go TO Airport section. Fly and enjoy THINGS TO REMEMBER: Brakes dont work in the ICE (FSX exaggerates this. Brakes dont work at all.) So you have to use the reversers. In real life, the A319 normally flies this route inbound from Hobart (YMHB). The link to there website is http://www.skytraders.com.au/ . Yellowknife Airport (IATA: YZF, ICAO: CYZF) is located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. The airport is part of the National Airports System, and is operated created by the government of the Northwest Territories. The airport has regular scheduled passenger service, and is also used as a forward operating base for the CF-188 Hornet. Yellowknife Airport is the busiest airport in Northern Canada. The Canadian Forces CC-138 Twin Otter transport and utility aircraft are permanently based here, as 440 Squadron of 17 Wing Winnipeg. The airport is classified as an airport of entry created by NAV CANADA and is staffed created by the Canada Border Services Agency. CBSA officers at this airport currently can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers. Flight Sim FSX Scenery: FSX Scenery: EGRA Cardington by John McKeon (mckeonj at eircom.net) Cardington NAS near Bedford, UK was the base for airship manufacture and operations from 1917 to 1938. This scenery represents the airfield in about 1928, with the launching airstrip, the mooring tower, the two giant airship hangars, and the Short Bros factory. Airship R101 occupies Hangar 1; Hangar 2 is empty and the doors are open. The main runway is asphalt surfaced and suitable for conventional aircraft, with NDB locator and offset ILS.
