Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FSX Vickers Vimy Commercial ver 3 After the end of WW1, Vickers decided to build an airliner version of the Vimy bomber. The prototype Vimy Commercial flew in april 1919. A total of 44 were built, most of them for China. The most well-known example was, however, G-EASI City of London, flown developed by Instone Air Line (and later Imperial Airways) 1920-1926. Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: Savoia Marchetti S.81 Expansion package 2 This is the second expansion package for the S81_v10.zip, regarding the FS9/FSX model of the SIAI SM81 Pipistrello, Italian bomber/transport aircraft. The archive contains three new model variants and four new liveries: Saturno (Saturn) the anti-magnetic mines aircraft, Tartaruga (Tortoise) the personal aircraft of Benito Mussolini and two Scuola di Volo Senza Visibilità (Instrumental Flying School) planes with more advanced IFR cockpit. This is only an upgrade package, so you must have already installed the main package S81_V10.zip and also the S81_ep1.zip. Follow installation instructions for each FS2004/FSX case. Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FSX Douglas O-46 The Douglas O-46 was the last of a long line of Douglas Obsevation aircraft designed for the USAAC. It first entered service in 1937. This is a FSX - Acceleration native model. It has the usual animations, reflective glass, working cowl flaps, some bump maps and .dds textures.The 2D panel and VC are based on panels of similar craft of the same era. Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FSX Amiot 143 The Amiot 143 went into service in 1933. It served up to WW2 even though totally obsolete. It had unusual looks and the copilot sat underneath the pilot in the gondola. This is a native FSX Acceleration project. It has the usual animations, reflective glass and .dds textures. The HP81 Hermes was a British airliner from 1948, used by BOAC for its African routes in the early 1950s, and then by various charter companies for the next 10 years. Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: Savoia Marchetti S.81 Pipistrello The Savoia Marchetti (SIAI) SM81 was the armed bomber/transport version of the SM73 airliner. This SM81 package is partially derived from my previous S73_V20.zip, but a lot of parts were completely rebuilt. Flight dynamics, panel and gauges were designed after studying the original manuals of the aircraft and its related instruments and engines. This archive contains four variants, each with different engines and operating procedures: the Piaggio P.X/RC15, Alfa Romeo A.R.125/RC35, Alfa Romeo A.R.126/RC34 and Gnome et Rhone 14K Mistral Major. Seven liveries are included: Five Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force) and two Spanish Nationalist Air Force. All standard animations are present and all MDLs also feature animated turrets, gondola and gun hatches. This Pipistrello package is completed of panel, gauges, sounds and virtual cockpit. Its optimised for FS9, but will work (perhaps with minor errors) in FSX (a bitmap file must to be replaced). Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FSX Potez 540 The Potez 540 was a Recon plane and bomber that served the French, Spanish and Romanian Air Arms from 1934 up to WW2. This is a true native FSX model. It is painted for the Escadrille GR 11/33 Armee de lair circa 1937. It has the usual animations, plus retracting bottom turret, reflective glass, .dds textures and a limited amount of bump mapping. It has a Hispano-Suiza sound file courtesy of Law Dog. The 2D panel and VC are based on a photo and the VC has animated flight controls. By Paul Clawson

Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FS2004/FSX de Havilland 94 Moth Minor Two-seater trainer/tourer Produced by de Havilland in 1937 in an attempt to up-date the biplane trainer concept, it was a success and saw service in WW2, examples are still flying today.Authentic flight dynamics and all the usual gubbins. Flight Sim FSX Aircraft Vintage: FS2004/FSX Hawker Fury with aircooled engine Persian Furies had Pratt & Whitney Hornet radials, but these were later replaced by Bristol Mercury engines for added performance. So favored were the Persian Mercuries by their pilots,that they were flown as late as 1943. However the engine installation moved the c.g. forward resulting in a tendency of the airplane to nose over during taxiing. GMAX by A.F.Scrub.
