Thank you for downloading this airfield. This airfield represents an actual military base used byt he USAF. It was originally built as a gunnery and bombing range. It was deactivated after WWII and then re-activated by SAC from 1949 until 1975. Today it is owned by the Dept. of Interior as a wildlife refuge. The airfield is completely abandoned. I have made the airfield as it appears on Google Earth, I have added an extrqa taxiway from the apron to the long runway to make it easier to get to runway 3 with out having to taxi down one of the other runways. I have included 3 ILS systems, one on each end of the long runway and one for runway 36L. There is a VOR on the field as well. There are parking spaces for civil aviation and military aircraft as well. For some reason I cannot get my SDK to work so there is no visible comtrol tower or other buildings. There is a working tower communication for clearance. You will need AFCAD2.21 for the airfield to work, it works also in FSX.
