Description:
The one and only South Africa Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator by Nico Visagie. This scenery covers all main airports and airfields in South Africa and also includes the main airports in Swaziland and Lesotho. IMPORTANT: This scenery will ONLY work on Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 and you MUST have the Aircraft Converter installed, even if you do not convert aircraft for Flight Simulator 98, it must still be installed. The reason being that the Flight Simulator Converter fixes the Flight Simulator Scenery buffer size to 512K. Without the 512K buffer, the scenery will not display correctly. To install the scenery, simply run the included EXE file. To add the scenery into your FS98 World menu, please follow the instructions in the document file. The document file will be installed when you install the scenery.

  Windsor Building on Fire. Madrid, 13th February 2005 This file places the Windsor Building skyscraper at its correct location in Madrid, Spain. It has a height of 106 meters and 32 floors (the 8th highest in Madrid), and is situated in the AZCA quarter of the city, heart of the financial district in Madrid, next to the department store El Corte Inglés, Picasso tower, and the Holiday Inn Hotel. This building, projected in 1974 and built in 1979, had a huge fire (apparently caused by a short-circuit in floor 21) in the early morning of 13th February 2005, that burned for more than 15 hours and destroyed the whole building. Fortunately, no one was hurt, since the building is empty in the weekends. At the time of writing, Madrid firemen think the building could even collapse, but in any case the building has been destroyed. The building was only used as office space for companies, like Deloitte&Touche, which by the way, also had its offices destroyed in the Twin Towers attack in New York on 11th September 2001. The building was designed for FS2002 by FSMadrid, to whom all the credit is given. We have corrected the location to the real one, and added the fire effects. US attack on Nazi Europe - July 4, 1942 - Flown by B-17s of the 97th Bombardment Group against the Rouen-Sotteville railyards in France. The first USAAF air raid on Germany was made by 8th AF B-17s against Wilhelmshaven and other targets in northeastern Germany on 1/27/43.
1930
Endurance record - June 11-July 4, 1930 - 553h:41m:30s at Chicago by John and Kenneth Hunter in Stinson SM-1B City of Chicago [NC5189], covering about 40,000 miles in so doing. Refueling plane was flown by their brothers, Albert and Walter. Their feat was short-lived as the title was regained by Jackson and OBrine the following month.
