  FS9/FSX Me 209 V4 On April 26, 1936, the world was informed that a specialy modified version of the Luftwaffes single-seat fighter had raised the world air speed record to 755,11 km/h (469,22 mph). Later, Messerschmitt tried to make a fighter out of the Me 209. One experimental plane was built, the Me 209 V4. The flight tests showed that this plane was too difficult to fly for an average-trained pilot.Original mdl by Alain Coupet Modified version with gun/sound effects and new airfile for FS9/FSX by A.F. Scrub.

Description:
  Although the Grizzly was released after much testing, some items have become apparent that, while not major, were determined to be easy to correct. Mods are included here for both FS9 and FSX versions, in armed and unarmed variants. This package comprises (a) new model files, which permit displaying the internal beam structure visible from the rear of the interior afterburners (presently it appears the burners are suspended in space); and, (b) added cockpit lighting for the FSX versions, which addresses the still-poor lighting evident during daytime flying. This package is not required, but rather recommended, for use with the recently-released CF-220 Grizzly. By Brian Sturton.

Description:
   FS2002/Fs2004/FSX Seafire XVII: This model was specialy made for FSX but it flies perfectly in Fs8/9 too. The Seafire Mk.17 was powered by a 1850hp Rolls Royce Griffon VI engine giving it a maximum speed of 383 mph at 13,500 ft. It was armed with two Hispano 20mm cannons, four 0.303 in Browning MGs and up to eight rockets or 500 lb of bombs mounted beneath the fuselage and wings. This late production Seafire variant had a distinctive look, and impressive performance. This model was flown on board the HMS Illustrious during September 1949. Too late for wartime service, it served till 1954 with the Naval Reserve Units. Complete upgrade with new model,airfile, Dp, effects and textures by A.F.Scrub.

The Trident was a single seat supersonic fighter developed in France during the fifties by the S.N.C.A.S.O. Powered by a mix of jet engines and rockets, able to speeds upto 2200 km/h in the last versions, the Trident was at this time a competitor to the early Mirage. This model is proposed in 7 versions (5 realistic and 2 fictional), has full moving parts and an original custom 2D panel (an original bitmap by me). No VC. The Dassault Mirage G8 was a twin engine fighter with variable sweep wings (swing wings), a very singular design for a Dassault aircraft. The Mirage G8 flew for the first time on May 8th, 1971, and demonstrated immediately an impressive level of performance, reaching Mach 2.04 during its 3rd flight ... The G8 was one of the guest stars during Paris Air Show in 1971. Unfortunately, only two prototypes were built - both included in this package - before the decision was taken to stop the program ... 1942
US attack on Nazi Europe - July 4, 1942 - Flown by B-17s of the 97th Bombardment Group against the Rouen-Sotteville railyards in France. The first USAAF air raid on Germany was made by 8th AF B-17s against Wilhelmshaven and other targets in northeastern Germany on 1/27/43.
1930
Endurance record - June 11-July 4, 1930 - 553h:41m:30s at Chicago by John and Kenneth Hunter in Stinson SM-1B City of Chicago [NC5189], covering about 40,000 miles in so doing. Refueling plane was flown by their brothers, Albert and Walter. Their feat was short-lived as the title was regained by Jackson and OBrine the following month.
