He did all the original photo tiles, buildings, placements, etc. I supported by doing the photoreal stuff. Unfortunately, FS9s version of resample only resampled to 4.75 meters per pixel, and you were on your own as far as geo-referencing the resampled source. It looks pretty good in FS9...it looks amazingly good in FSX. The resample and resulting .bgls are done in 1 meter per pixel resolution.I resampled at 1/2 that but a single.bgl was 123MB. Not good for framerates. The original aerial photograph was from the Nov 2005 USGS .5m/pixel Orthimage of urban San Diego obtained from USGSs seamless data distribution website. Thank-you for your interest in downloading and trying this scenery add-on for FSX. To install, simply extract all the bgl files into your addon Scenery folder then restart fsx. Alternatively, you could create new folders such as addon scenery/kitimat/scenery and place the bgl files there. Then, activate them via the fsx scenery library. Any files with the suffix FLT or WX should be placed in the documents/flight simulator X folder. These are situation files. The coverage area for this scenery is about as far south as the sioux channel south of kitimat, as far north as the top end of kalum lake, west to 129W and east to 128W. Most of the more important rivers, lakes, and creeks are featured in the scenery. The main rivers are the Kitimat, the Skeena, the Lakelse (my favorite fishing river in the whole world), the Copper, the Little Wedeene, the Big Wedeene, and the Kalum. Besides the salt water of the Douglas Channel south of Kitimat, the area also features two large lakes - Kalum Lake, and Lakelse Lake. Many of the important highways and secondary/logging roads are also featured. There are moving vehicles on the highways... Merrill C. Meigs Field Airport (IATA: CGX, ICAO: KCGX), was a single strip airport built on Northerly Island, the man-made island originally created to house the 1933-1934 Century of Progress in Chicago, Illinois. The airport opened on December 10, 1948, and became the countrys busiest single-strip airport by 1955. The latest air traffic tower was built in 1952 and the terminal was dedicated in 1961. The airfield was named for Merrill C. Meigs, publisher of the Chicago Herald and Examiner and an aviation booster. Meigs no longer exists. Created with FSDS3 and EZ Scenery.
