Kansas City International KMCI for Flight Simulator 2004 Version 2-1 by FRAME-RATE-FRIENDLY Studio/William Morgan Thank you for downloading my scenery. This is an update to the default MCI airport in Kansas City. It contains all three terminals, jetways, and roadways through the center of the airport. Ill let the photos speak for themselves. All terminals have accurate parking assignments per the KCIA website, and the AFCAD is included. This scenery was built using Abacus EZ-Scenery program. Update: The AFCAD file has been modified to make all 3 runways active at all times. The file naming system has been updated. Also, some missing textures have been added. Version 2-1 completely replaces Version 2. Hi All, An impassioned plea in the forums inspired me to model a better than default scenery of Chicago Midway Airport. There appears to be a lot of interest in this airport. ATA and Southwest use it as a hub. I have modeled terminals a,b and c, the parking lot, and the tincan hangers to the north. I had to relocate the beacon... but its there. Jetways are set for DENSE scenery. As I have stated in the past, textures are not my forte. I hope these are satisfactory. Let me know if something is way out of place. Built in 1942 as a military training base, Douglas County acquired the Airport and has operated it as a municipal airport governed by Douglas County Board of County Commissioners. The Airport serves a broad base of aviation uses from corporate to recreational flying. It is home to approximately 250 aircraft with 80,000 annual operation. It is also home to the Minden Tanker Base and the Sierra Front Dispatch Agency with primary mission of dispatching tankers to fires in the Sierra Nevada region. In 1941, the name of the then milwaukee county airport was changed to general mitchell field brigadier general william billy mitchell who was born in milwaukee on december 29, 1879. On june 19, 1986, the milwaukee county board of supervisors officially renamed the airport general mitchell international airport, also reflecting the presence of united states customs at the airport.
