he sim program has come so far, I remember when it was stick clear graphics like dimensional pong, dials instruments everything. And this X program and the fantastic updates by private and commercial industries, This site has always had the flight simmer at heart and of best interest and the quality of this shuttle simulation was fa advanced on its original release and here it is 2014 and its still the very best there is. By the way at tweakfs theres a fantastic free download for ai flight, its not the usual its proven. download, tap on the exe , this is after you've started the fsx and alredy are sitting on your runway, now drop out of fsx and into the tweak menu, you can then choose any four of the aircraft that you want to fly with or against, the choice of formations are diamond box and straight. choose speed altitude and circle in radius of miles and or straight. then tap fsx, go into fsx and on the runway in your aircraft tap add ons there will be the button tap and youll see the start etx once you start the planes theylll continue the patterns ,and if you chose straight they'll go forever, and the best part is they flight different , even the same aircraft has its own pilots personalities as you will see. Now that theres no more gamespy site its not as boring flying alone.

When I got this I put in stronger gears it didn't seem to help though, some gauges were missing, somtimes i'll have no fuel, but it will keep fling as if it does. It doesn't skid on it's belly on the runway or across the water. Sometimes i'll land and the gears are on the surface of the ground but it says I crashed, neat download though.

absolutely the best simulator and add-on I've ever seen, it gives me goosebumps every time I "strap in" and get ready for re-entry. totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not at all easy to fly and even harder to land and thats with the stronger landing gear. very in depth and detailed and just good fun to use :)

First class. Great graphics and a dream to handle.the only thing different from the original is there are no engines on the shuttle its just one big glider.but it makes it more interesting

Its about time.... I have finally come across an aircraft that has fairly accurate flight and landing dynamics. I like flight simulator but unfortunately there are very few aircraft that are true to their real world couterparts and this one really cuts the mustard. I would like to answer this comment below: futurecaptain Rating: 5: "It's impossible to land even when you follow the instructions" Like thousands of other real pilots I tried out for the space program through the military and did not make the cut. I think the name "Landing Challenge" says it all so do not feel bad about not being able to land the shuttle. If it was easy, myself and allot of excellent pilots would be on the 'list" for the job. Hands Down a big 10!

A++ Best shuttle I have ever downloaded. Everyone who was responsible for the parts that made up that package did a good job and the author who put it all together really outdid himself.. (I assume "Nick" is a "him"... sorry if I am wrong) NICE WORK :)))))))))))

This is excellent and fun adventure package. The person below that gave a rating of �1� obviously did that to lower this add-on from the top of the list. That bogus rating should be removed. I gave it a 10 because it is so much more than just a repaint. Aircraft do not usually come with awesome effects and really cool abilities that flight simulator does not allow by default. Definitely a keeper!!!! :)

Great release. I only wish the 3D shuttle model was visually better made and had a VC.. that is not the authors fault since he had to work with the old FS2k shuttle. I use Nicks other effectsgauge releases and this package has the same quality and attention to detail as all his productions. Another excellent add-on.

Still the most fun for me even thought I made it. I still have to deal with the unexpected changes that take place. My favorite part is no crash-bar on soft crash landings which microsoft should have worked out better to begin with.

I actually saw and flew through the Southern Lights (as opposed to the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis) during the Antarctica reentry flight. Incredible! I have heard that the Aurora Borealis will show up in FS2004 but up till today I had never, ever seen it. It was like landing on another planet with a neon lit-up atmosphere!! I tried the same flight again but did not see the Aurora Borealis. It must be on some type of time delay. LOL!!! This download is VERY cool!! Slid off the end of the ice runway into the water, but the crashbar did not appear... way coool, splash, wake... water splash sounds on the hull... AWESOME!
