Mid-October 2001 reports seven US C-130 cargo/troop carrying aircraft at Jacobabad, helicopters [possibly including gunships] and approx 200 U.S. commandos. About 250 American Marines are stationed here for search-and-rescue missions. November 2001 hundreds of US Army soldiers were housed in 42 aircraft hangars. It is an FOB.
